Katie's thesis (and a question)

An individual can be made to feel alienated because they have different values from a group, as shown in the poem The Inversion of Simonides' Line about the Sun. Being alienated can have bad implications for the individual, evident in the short story Metamorphosis. Othello shows that a feeling of alienation can also have bad implications for others.

Do the techniques have to be part of the thesis? I'm not sure where to stick them in.
But that wasn't the question I was planning to ask..

Where the question says "explaining the significant langauge forms, features and structures used by each composer..", does that just mean talk about techniques?

  1. Yes, that means you need to discuss techniques. You don't need to mention them in your introduction however. How about using negative or detrimental instead of bad?
What is your thesis going to be now that you've looked at all those texts? Are you going to say that alienation has a variety of consequences for the individuala and society?

  2. sure, why not.
    Is this better ?

My texts shows that whatever the reason for an individual being alienated, negative consequences for the individual and the society they felt alienated by can ensue.
